Krishna & Me

Krishna & Me — My Journey of Faith and Surrender

There are relationships that are defined by words.

And then there are relationships that are felt in the deepest silence of the heart.

Krishna & me is one such relationship.

I don’t know when it began.

Perhaps it began long before I knew His name.

Perhaps every difficult moment, every unexpected turn, every tear and every miracle was quietly bringing me closer to Him.

Today, I don’t merely pray to Krishna.

I speak to Him.

Sometimes with folded hands.
Sometimes with questions.
Sometimes with complaints.
Sometimes with tears.

And sometimes, I simply sit quietly and feel that He already knows everything I am trying to say.

Krishna taught me the meaning of action

The Bhagavad Gita says:

“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।”

You have a right to your actions, but not to the fruits of your actions.

This has become one of the greatest lessons of my life.

Do your duty.

Give your best.

Be sincere.

Be courageous.

And then… let go.

Because perhaps the greatest burden we carry is not our responsibility—it is our attachment to the outcome.

Krishna reminds me:

Do your part. Leave the rest to Me.

Krishna taught me to trust the journey

There have been moments when I wondered why something happened the way it did.

Why did a door close?

Why did someone leave?

Why did something I deeply desired not happen?

And much later, I sometimes understood that what I thought was a rejection was actually divine redirection.

Krishna doesn’t always give us what we ask for.

Sometimes, He gives us what we need to become who we are meant to be.

That is why I have slowly learned to replace:

“Why is this happening to me?”

with

“Krishna, what are You trying to teach me through this?”

That one change in question can change an entire life.

When I am afraid, I remember Krishna

The battlefield of Kurukshetra was not only Arjuna’s battlefield.

We all have our Kurukshetras.

Our fears.

Our doubts.

Our conflicts.

Our moments when we don’t know which way to turn.

And perhaps that is why the Gita continues to speak to us thousands of years later.

Krishna did not fight Arjuna’s battle for him.

He gave him wisdom, courage and clarity—and then allowed him to choose.

That is the Krishna I believe in.

He doesn’t always remove the battle.

He gives me the strength to face it.

And then comes surrender

The most beautiful teaching, perhaps, is found towards the end of the Gita:

“सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।”

Take refuge in Me alone.

For me, surrender does not mean giving up.

It means giving up the illusion that I must control everything.

It means saying:

“Krishna, I will do everything that is within my capacity.
But the outcome—I leave to You.”

And strangely, surrender brings freedom.

Because when I stop trying to control tomorrow, I become more present today.

When I stop fearing what I cannot change, I discover the courage to change what I can.

When I stop demanding answers, I begin to recognise His presence.

Krishna & Me

There are days when I feel incredibly strong.

There are days when I feel completely lost.

There are days when I laugh.

And there are days when tears simply roll down my cheeks without explanation.

But through all of them, there is one constant feeling:

I am not alone.

Perhaps that is what faith really means.

Not that life will never hurt.

Not that every prayer will be answered in the way we expect.

But that somewhere, beyond our understanding, there is a divine intelligence holding our hand.

So I continue to walk.

I work.

I love.

I make mistakes.

I learn.

I fall.

I rise.

And every morning, somewhere in my heart, I say:

“Krishna, walk with me.”

And perhaps His answer is always the same:

“I never stopped.”

So this is my relationship with Krishna.

Not one of perfection.

Not one without questions.

But one built on faith, gratitude, love and surrender.

I don’t ask Krishna to make my life perfect.

I ask Him to make my heart strong enough to accept life as it comes.

I don’t ask Him to remove every obstacle.

I ask Him to give me the wisdom to understand its purpose.

And I don’t ask Him to walk ahead of me.

I simply ask Him to remain within me.

Because if Krishna is within…

the destination no longer frightens me.

The journey itself becomes sacred.

Krishna & Me.

A conversation without words.

A bond without conditions.

A faith without proof.

And a love…

that needs no explanation.

Hare Krishna.
